The first phase of our home reno is quickly falling into place. Super exciting! The vanity for our main bath arrived on Friday which makes it all seem so much more tangible. Although as always, one step forward sometimes means a step or two back. There was some damage to the back of the vanity which I will have to follow up with this week. Not quite so exciting! Anyways, in preparation for our bathroom renos, I have spent countless hours scouring the internet for lighting. Let me tell you, lighting selection is exhausting! There are literally a zillion choices out there. For anyone else on the hunt for great vanity fixtures, here are my top bathroom lighting picks with a modern farmhouse twist.
Farmhouse style lights can vary dramatically. During my extensive vanity light search, I noticed a few common trends among those lights claiming to be farmhouse inspired. They could range from something with an industrial flare to something with a more polished glass shade. There seems to be a huge trend towards mixing finishes, exposed light bulbs and insulator glass shades.
What I learned at the end of the day…go with your gut and pick what you love!
