As you navigate through your home renovation or room refresh, it can be a challenge adding back that cozy feeling you had before you tore everything apart. (Click here for some tips to keep your renovation on track). Now that the bulk of the work is done, our new vinyl plank flooring is down and the walls are painted a warm grey, our renovation is winding down to the final few minor details. Well, the final few hundred minor details maybe…haha. This week my to-do list focus has been trying to find a new area rug for our living room. (Above featured image via Style at Home).
The area rug search begins….
I’ve spent many, many hours the past few days combing the internet for area rug options. Trust me when I say there are a lot of them out there! Although it’s certainly not the final element missing from our living room, I miss the warm, homey feeling that an area rug can give. I just feel like there are a lot of hard surfaces in our lovely new space. This prompted me to move up the area rug search on the priority list.
Although I’m still putting together my list of area rug finalists, I did manage to get past the first major hurdle: Where should I go to buy a new area rug? So for this week I am going to pass along my list of top 10 places to buy your next area rug. (Please note that I do not receive any financial benefits from the websites listed below, they are just suggestions based on my experience). Next time I hope to share my actual top rug picks with you. I am leaning towards something geometric and warm grey with a little blue in it…stay tuned!
So without further ado and in no particular order, here are the top 10 places to buy your next are rug:
Wayfair
Overstock
Amazon
Pottery Barn
Crate and Barrel
Pier One
Bed, Bath and Beyond
Urban Barn
West Elm
